Meet Megan MC, RCC, CCC

Hi, I'm Megan (She/They). I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Canadian Certified Counsellor based in Vancouver, BC.

I believe therapy should feel human, warm, real, and genuinely collaborative. I show up as a full person in the room, not just a clinician, and I bring curiosity, care, and laughter into our work. I don't see laughter as minimizing pain. I see it as something that can exist alongside it, creating connection and reminding us we are more than the hardest parts of our stories.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in victim services in police-embedded units – attending scenes, supporting survivors of crime, and sitting with bereaved families in some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I also worked as a coroner. That work brought me face to face with the full weight of human loss, and it was through that experience that I first encountered EMDR and witnessed what it could do.

EMDR didn't just become a clinical interest, it changed things for me personally. That's what brought me back to school and into this work. I became a therapist because I experienced firsthand how powerful it is to be truly supported, and how real healing can be when you have the right tools and the right relationship.

My Approach

I bring over 17 years of experience supporting people through trauma, grief, identity shifts, and major life transitions. My practice is rooted in EMDR and integrative therapy, drawing from AEDP, parts work, narrative therapy, and somatic approaches. Therapy with me is one size fits one — we build something that works for you, adapting the approach to fit your life rather than expecting you to fit a model.

"I believe who you want to be already exists. The person you’re reaching for is already in there — we are gently clearing away the difficult experiences and survival strategies that made sense once but don’t anymore."

Co-Created Process

From our very first session, we do this together. I bring clinical training, and you bring what matters most: your lived experience and instincts. You are always in the driver’s seat; I’m alongside you, not steering for you.

Full Transparency

If you want to know what I’m thinking or why I’m asking something, I’ll tell you. We only ever go where you want to go. Transparency isn’t just a value — it’s what makes real collaboration possible.

Relationship-Based

I believe healing happens most deeply in relationship, when you feel safe, supported, and actively involved. I am committed to creating a space that moves at your pace, where real change begins.

Working with Families, Couples & Relationships

The goal isn’t to take sides or assign blame. Often what looks like conflict is actually a cycle—each person carrying their own history and wounds. We slow that cycle down, getting curious about what’s happening underneath the behavior, and finding new ways of reaching for each other. When people start to see the cycle instead of feeling trapped inside it, real change begins.
